OSHA regulation §1910.253(b)(2)(ii) Inside buildings, cylinders shall be stored in a well-protected, dry location, at least 20 feet (6.1m) from highly combustible materials such as oil or excelsior.....

The well-protected part of this regulation is an ideal application for guard rail with lift out sections. Protect the gases from errant forklift traffic and have access to transfer product when needed.

OSHA Approval

My understanding is that OSHA does not specifically approve each manufacturer's products, but establishes standards for the manufacture of various material handling products. Many times with the help of ANSI or ASME.

The upright frames at the end of a row are most susceptable to forklift damage. Protect uprights with a product that wraps around the front and sides and anchors to the floor. Whether it's a single row or a back to back configuration of pallet rack Rack End Protectors will guard against forklift damage.
