LTL or Truckload
Small (14" outside diameter) Column Sentry products in quantities lower than 4-6 units typically ship most effectively by UPS. A single Medium Column Sentry can be shipped by UPS. Larger quantities of these sizes, or any quantity of Large or Extra Large Column Sentry products (33" and 38" outside diameters) ship via LTL or truckload deliveries. Column Sentry Small and Medium-sized products ship at Freight Class 150; Large and Extra Large ships at Freight Class 250. Column Sentry protection products are stacked and stretch-wrapped to save weight and reduce unnecessary packaging costs. Call us for a specific quote
UPS
Column Sentry Small (14" outside diameter) can be shipped in the US via UPS. Medium-sized Column Sentry can be shipped via UPS but oversize fees and dimensional weight means costs are equivalent to LTL. One product can be shipped via UPS but more than one is not recommended. When shipping a Medium Column Sentry a carton fee applies.
Unless you are ordering only one of these, they will likely ship via LTL freight banded to a pallet. Generally they ship freight class 70 from zip 76140. You will be quoted a firm shipping cost and offered to have sent Collect/3rd Party if you so desire.
Shipping of Item 70161 Soft Oval Rack Protectors can be handled in small quantities via UPS, Somewhere around 5 or 6 units (depending on height) it is less expensive to ship on a pallet via LTL. Shipping weights will vary due to the variations in packaging, namely pallets. I would normally add 50 lbs for each pallet. How many are needed depends on the size and if anchors are included in your order. Best to call for a specific freight quote. Freight classification also varies depending on quantity and packaging.
Product weights (less anchors) - 12" - 11 lbs, 18" - 14 lbs, 24" - 17 lbs
Beware! The freight classifications for rack components including column protectors and end of aisle products changed recently and have caused, shall we say unhappiness in the resulting shipping costs.

For most of our post protectors (PPY12, UCP-12, IND-BCG) shipping will be via LTL carriers, freight class either 65 or 70 depending on the shipper. Generally this product is palletized with banding or stretch wrap to a pallet. There are several FOB points possible, call for specifics on specific models.
